iPhone 16 Pro Max Impresses in Durability Test [VIDEO]

Apple’s latest flagship iPhone 16 Pro Max has proven to be remarkably durable, even with significant internal changes in its structure.

IPhone 16 Pro MAX Durability Test

For years, Apple has built a reputation for creating robust devices. However, with the modifications introduced in the new iPhone 16 series, some were left wondering whether these changes would compromise the device’s durability.

The concerns were quickly laid to rest by popular YouTuber JerryRigEverything, who subjected the iPhone 16 Pro Max to his well-known durability test. To the relief of Apple enthusiasts, the device passed without sustaining significant damage.

One of the highlights of the durability test was the scratch test, which provided insight into the materials Apple used in the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The test focused on the new camera control button, a component that has been upgraded in the latest iPhone models.

It was revealed that the button could withstand scratches up to a level 7 on Moh’s hardness scale, suggesting that Apple had utilized sapphire, a material known for its hardness and scratch resistance, rather than standard glass.

As with all JerryRigEverything durability tests, the iPhone 16 Pro Max underwent the burn test, in which the screen is exposed to an open flame to measure its resistance to heat. While the test is often more about entertainment than practical use, it confirmed that the iPhone 16 Pro Max performed similarly to its predecessors.

The most anticipated part of the test was the bend test, a segment where many smartphones have been known to fail. The iPhone 16 Pro Max impressed once again by showing remarkable strength and resilience.
