How to Download Photos and Videos from iCloud Library [VIDEO]
Apple has published a new video on its YouTube support channel, providing a guide on how you can locate and download your iCloud photos and videos across your iPhones, iPads, Macs, and PCs.

iCloud offers users a convenient way to store photos and videos in the cloud, freeing up space on their devices. However, you may occasionally need to download these files onto your device for offline access, editing, or simply for safekeeping.
Here’s how to do it, whether you’re using an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or even a PC.
- On iCloud.com, tap Photos.
- Tap Select, then tap a photo or video. To select multiple photos or videos, tap more than one. To select your entire library, tap Select All.
- Tap the more buttonNo alt supplied for Image .
- Choose Download, then tap Download to confirm.
If your downloads are saved as a ZIP file, you can easily unzip it on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch by following Apple’s guide on uncompressing ZIP archives.
To download full-resolution copies of your iCloud photos and videos onto your Mac (running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 or later), follow these steps:
- Launch the Photos app on your Mac.
- Access Preferences
- From the top menu, go to Photos > Preferences.
- Download Originals to Mac
- Select the iCloud tab, then check the box next to Download Originals to this Mac. This will ensure that full-size versions of all iCloud photos are stored on your Mac for easy access.
