Apple Expands its Business Connect Feature With New Tools Like Mail and Wallet

This week, Apple announced that it’s expanding the Business Connect feature. From now on, verified businesses can create branding and a location presence across core apps like Mail, Wallet, Phone, and Maps.

As per the latest press release, Business Connect enables companies to sign up to display their branding within the Mail app. With Branded Mail, businesses can have their logo appear to their customers when a new email hits their inbox. Businesses can sign up for this feature today before it is ready for consumers when iOS 18.2 releases.

In addition, businesses can now have their logo displayed in Tap to Pay on iPhone. Rather than a stock category option, companies can tailor the customer experience a little bit more by having their logo appear on the screen. Plus, this gives customers a way to know they’re making a payment with a verified business.

Next year, businesses will be able to take advantage of the new Business Caller ID. This feature can display a company’s name, logo, and even the specific department that’s calling. This way, customers can rest assured they’re speaking with a verified business instead of a spam call.

Finally, Apple is adding a way for companies to claim and manage their presence on Maps as well. Business Connect enables businesses to add and update photos, and a logo, and invite customers to take action directly through the place card. Promotions can also be displayed.

Businesses can register to Business Connect using an existing Apple Account or a brand new one. Registration can be completed from any phone, tablet, desktop, or laptop. Once a business is registered, they can customize their brand for free.
