This new three-part docuseries will capture the intense competition, unforgettable moments, and behind-the-scenes dynamics as teams vie for the most coveted prize in American sports: a World Series Championship.

The series, which is still in production, offers fans an unprecedented view of the highs and lows experienced by players, coaches, and families during the 2024 World Series.

For the first time, fans will get a comprehensive look at the pivotal moments leading up to and during the championship, with rare behind-the-scenes access and exclusive interviews with key figures involved in the sport. Interviews will feature players, coaches, fans, journalists, and even family members, creating a holistic narrative of the World Series experience.

This highly anticipated project is a collaboration between MLB and renowned producers, including Imagine Documentaries, which is known for acclaimed works like The Dynasty: New England Patriots and The Super Models.

The series will also feature the involvement of legendary baseball star Derek Jeter, who is serving as an executive producer alongside his production company, Cap 2 Productions. R.J. Cutler, an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker behind documentaries like Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, will direct the series.

This announcement comes on the heels of Apple TV+ completing its third season as the exclusive home of “Friday Night Baseball,” a weekly MLB doubleheader available to subscribers across 60 countries.

Apple TV+, since its launch in November 2019, has garnered an impressive 517 wins and over 2,300 award nominations for its content, which includes acclaimed shows like Ted Lasso and the Oscar-winning film CODA.
