How to Type Requests to Siri on iPhone and iPad [VIDEO]
With the release of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1, Apple has introduced a new feature allowing users to interact with Siri by typing instead of speaking.

Whether you’re in a quiet public space or simply prefer typing, the new option offers a more discreet and accessible way to engage with Siri on supported iPhone and iPad models.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Navigate to Accessibility.
- Scroll down to Siri and toggle on Type to Siri.
Once this setting is activated, you can ask Siri questions or make requests by typing them directly into a text field that appears when you activate Siri. This feature is especially useful for users who have accessibility needs or simply prefer typing their commands.
