Amazon Unveils New Fire TV Lineup in Canada: 144Hz, Dolby Atmos & More
Amazon announced on Thursday that it has sold over 250 million Fire TV devices worldwide and is expanding its lineup with new and upgraded models, with Canada getting some new models.
The new Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series is Amazon’s latest high-end TV, featuring sharp picture quality and enhanced sound. This model uses a QLED Mini-LED screen with up to 1,400 nits of brightness and 960 dimming zones, making colours and contrast more vivid, plus supports Dolby Vision IQ, and HDR10+ Adaptive. The bezels are pretty thin along the top and sides.
The Omni Mini-LED also supports Dolby Atmos audio and Wi-Fi 6E for faster, smoother streaming. Gamers will find a new gaming mode with AMD FreeSync and a 144Hz refresh rate, which means less lag. Sensors combined with AI on the TV detect your environment to fine-tune picture details, day or night. Dolby Atmos audio is supported, while there are two speakers and up to two built-in subs.
Amazon told iPhone in Canada the Ambient Experience’s new interactive artwork feature and Dual Audio are coming soon to the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED Series.

The Fire TV Soundbar Plus Series is Amazon’s newest sound system, delivering cinematic audio with Dolby Atmos and DTS support, now a 3.1 channel soundbar, that now includes easy setup by plugging into your TV’s HDMI ARC/eARC port.
This 37-inch soundbar includes modes like Movie, Music, Sports, and Night to optimize sound for different uses, plus settings to enhance voice clarity. It’s priced at $329.99 in Canada.
The Fire TV 4-Series has also been updated with a sleeker design and thinner bezel, bringing more focus to the content on screen. Prices for the 4-Series start at $369.99 for a 43-inch model and delivers as soon as this weekend. Other screen options include 50” for $479.99 and 55” for $529.99.
