Amazon’s Eero Outdoor 7 Now in Canada: Stream, Work and Play Outdoors

Amazon’s eero Outdoor 7 Wi-Fi device has launched in Canada, and promises to keep outdoor spaces as connected as indoors.

Designed to withstand Canada’s extreme weather, the eero Outdoor 7 operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 55°C and is resistant to dust, rain, and snow.

The eero Outdoor 7 offers Wi-Fi 7 technology and Qualcomm’s advanced chipset, delivering speeds up to 1.1 Gbps. This means you can stream, play and work outdoors, just like you were inside. Usually, outdoor Wi-Fi speeds are terrible are you get further away from your wireless router.

A single eero Outdoor 7 unit provides coverage of up to 15,000 square feet, keeping you connected across patios, docks, and even treehouses. For larger properties, Amazon says two devices can work as a wireless bridge, extending coverage up to 1,000 feet apart with a clear line of sight. This can be handy if you have Wi-Fi sensors or cameras that need extended internet.

Setting up the eero Outdoor 7 is straightforward with the eero app. The unit does require vertical installation on a wall or post, and certain materials like wood or stucco may need drilling. While the device supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), an AC adapter is not included, so you’ll need to plan for that accordingly.

The eero Outdoor 7 is compatible with earlier generations of eero devices and select Amazon Echo products and comes with a three year warranty. The new eero Outdoor 7 costs $479.99 without AC adapter and $549.99 with AC adapter and delivers with Prime shipping speeds this week.
