OpenAI, Samsung in Talks to Bring AI Features to Galaxy Devices
OpenAI, the company behind the popular ChatGPT platform, is in talks with Samsung to embed its AI features into the tech giant’s Galaxy devices, The Korea Herald is reporting.

According to insiders familiar with the matter, the discussions resemble a recent partnership between OpenAI and Apple, where OpenAI’s technology has been integrated into Apple Intelligence features across new devices.
Samsung, a major player in the Android ecosystem, already relies heavily on Google’s AI technologies, including its Gemini chatbot, to enhance the functionality of its Galaxy devices. However, the company’s openness to collaboration with other partners may indicate its interest in diversifying AI integrations.
When asked for comment, a Samsung spokesperson reaffirmed the company’s commitment to an open ecosystem, adding, “We remain open to collaborating with all our partners.”
Beyond device integrations, OpenAI is reportedly exploring the development of its own web browser powered by its chatbot technology. Additionally, the company has been linked to potential collaborations in industries such as travel, real estate, retail, and food services.
These efforts align with OpenAI’s strategy to expand its AI capabilities beyond standalone tools like ChatGPT, positioning itself as a competitor to Google’s long-established dominance in browser and search technologies.

Experts believe OpenAI must secure strong partnerships with both Apple and Samsung to gain a foothold in the mobile search and browser markets. While OpenAI’s collaboration with Apple is already underway, a partnership with Samsung could solidify its position as a key player in the industry.
However, analysts caution that Samsung’s existing ties with Google and OpenAI’s selective approach to partnerships could present challenges.
