The federal government’s GST/HST holiday is now live, from December 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025.
What does this mean? During this time, a wide range of items, including food items, books, kids’ clothing and footwear, car seats, diapers, and most children’s toys and games will be GST/HST-free.
Pricier video game consoles and artificial Christmas trees are also GST/HST-free.
Amazon Canada has created a category of “GST/HST-free finds”, so you can shop all products that won’t have the extra tax, without hunting for them.
