Air Canada to Find Your Luggage with AirTags this Week

Last month, Apple announced it had partnered with various airlines, including Air Canada to let customers share their Find My item locations with employees.
This means employees will then be able to locate your bag that has an AirTag inside, for example.
On Monday morning, Apple announced this integration with AirTags and Air Canada will be launching this week.
“Exciting news for all of us travelers! Starting this week, United, Delta, and Air Canada will accept Find My item locations to help track delayed bags, with more airlines coming soon. Such a game-changer!”, said Apple SVP Marketing, Greg Joswiak.
Air Canada’s team on X replied, “We’re eager to integrate technology to help improve the customer experience.” How about you just don’t lose our bags instead, Air Canada?
iPhone users can create a link in the Find My app to share the location of a lost item. Others can use the link to view the item’s location on a map. Once the item is recovered, the link automatically expires or can be turned off by the owner at any time, ensuring privacy.
To further protect users, Apple designed the feature to expire after seven days if the item remains unfound.
Apple is planning a new AirTag soon for 2025, reports say. In the meantime, 4-pack AirTags have hit historic lows, while they remain on sale for $98 on Amazon.ca.
