  • Gifts can be transferred, auctioned on NFT platforms, or traded with other users.
  • Upgrading costs a small amount of Telegram Stars for blockchain fees.

Reactions for Service Messages:

  • Service messages (e.g., new group members, video chats, or profile updates) now support quick reactions.
  • Express gratitude or welcome members with just two taps.

Message Search Filters:

  • New filters in the ‘Chats’ tab refine results to private chats, groups, or channels.
  • Search interface also shows recent downloads, shared media, popular channels, and mini apps.

Custom Emoji for Chat Folders:

  • Premium users can now use custom emojis in folder names for added personalization.

In-App QR Code Scanner:

  • The camera now automatically recognizes QR codes for effortless link opening.
  • Swipe right (or tap the camera icon on Android) to access it quickly.

Telegram has been refining monetization features since 2021 to sustain growth and maintain independence. By 2024, it reached profitability through Premium subscriptions, privacy-conscious ads, and Telegram Stars, ensuring the platform remains user-focused and privacy-friendly.
