Microsoft is Making Bing Look Like Google in a Sneaky Way

For those using Microsoft’s Bing search engine, the overlords have now made the latter look like Google when users are searching for the world’s top search engine.
Anyone going to Bing.com and searching for “google” will reveal a UI that looks like Google, as seen in the image above. Google’s search homepage usually is very clean and simple with a “Google Doodle” sitting atop the search bar. For non-tech-savvy users, it will be hard to figure out that you’re not on Google.com.

As Windows Latest points out, this UI change will see those using Microsoft’s Edge browser set to Bing on default to now look like Google.com when people search for the latter. The spoofed interface also shows up when you search Bing.com for “google” as well. The ultimate goal is to keep users on Bing.com for searches, since ads show up in the sidebar and retaining user search query data is super valuable now days. Tricky, tricky indeed.
