Grok, the AI assistant developed by Elon Musk’s xAI, has officially launched its beta version for iOS. iPhone and iPad users can now download Grok for free and access xAI’s latest model, Grok 2. Yes, this is available in the App Store in Canada.
The app combines advanced AI with a conversational tone to provide a unique experience. Grok not only answers questions but also generates images, analyzes uploaded photos, and pulls real-time information from the web and X. The app also supports Control Center, Lockscreen, Siri and Shortcuts on iOS.

The xAI team back in September took its Colossus training cluster online, which consists of 100,000 of Nvidia’s H100 Tensor Core GPUs, essentially what xAI calls is the most powerful AI training system in existence. It was put online in just 122 days from start to finish. Musk said last fall that xAI plans to double Colossus’ training size to 200,000 GPUs, by adding 50,000 H200 GPUs from Nvidia.
The best feature of Grok is the ability to search real-time posts on X, so you can find news about anything, such as sports, entertainment, politics and more as it happens.
