NVIDIA Introduces RTX 50 GPUs, DLSS 4 and More at CES 2025

At CES 2025, NVIDIA introduced the highly anticipated GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, a cutting-edge lineup designed for gamers, creators, and developers.

Powered by the revolutionary Blackwell architecture, this series delivers groundbreaking advancements in AI-driven rendering, ray tracing, and graphics realism.

The GeForce RTX 50 Series, anchored by the flagship RTX 5090, sets a new standard in computing power. Featuring 92 billion transistors and capable of over 3,352 trillion AI operations per second (TOPS), the RTX 5090 outpaces its predecessor, the RTX 4090, by up to 2x.

This significant leap is made possible through advancements in fifth-generation Tensor Cores, fourth-generation RT Cores, and NVIDIA’s DLSS 4 technology, which uses AI to generate up to three additional frames per rendered frame for up to 8x the performance of traditional rendering.

“Blackwell represents the most significant innovation in computer graphics since programmable shading,” said NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, highlighting the architecture’s ability to fuse ray tracing with neural rendering.

Meanwhile, the Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 4 system introduces Multi Frame Generation, utilizing transformer-based AI models to boost frame rates and deliver unparalleled stability and detail.

The technology not only enhances game visuals but also paves the way for generative AI applications in gaming, elevating player immersion. Supported in over 75 games and applications at launch, DLSS 4 also introduces Reflex 2, a latency-reduction innovation that updates frame data in real time for a smoother, more responsive gaming experience.

To showcase its new features, such as RTX Neural Shaders and RTX Neural Faces, NVIDIA unveiled Zorah, a tech demo demonstrating the RTX 50 Series’ ability to render film-quality environments and dynamic AI-powered characters in real time.

The RTX 5090, priced at $1,999, and RTX 5080, priced at $999, will be available starting January 30, 2025. Additional models, including the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070, will follow in February with prices starting at $749. Founders Editions will be available directly from NVIDIA and select retailers worldwide.

I would appreciate it if posts like this would clarify whether the prices quoted are in USD or CAD.

Since it’s iPhone in Canada I would assume it was in CAD unless stated otherwise. However this article doesn’t mention it, but appears to actually be in USD.
