iOS 18.3 RC and More Released for Developers, Public Launch Imminent

ios 18 3 rc build

Apple today has released the final versions of its beta software for developers, signalling an imminent public release soon, likely next week.

Release Candidate (RC) builds mean they are the final releases before versions make their way to all users. iOS 18.3 RC is out today, along with other equivalents. Here’s what’s available for download right now:

  • iOS 18.3 RC (22D60)
  • iPadOS 18.3 RC (22D60)
  • iPadOS 17.7.4 RC (21H414)
  • macOS 15.3 RC (24D60)
  • tvOS 18.3 RC (22K557)
  • visionOS 2.3 RC (22N896)
  • watchOS 11.3 RC (22S553)

We saw iOS 18.3 beta 3 release last week for developers. This build temporarily paused AI summaries of news notifications, because Apple Intelligence isn’t quite perfect yet.

I'm reading rumours that the next update may install Apple Intelligence on your applicable device, whether you want it or not. The last update gave you the option. They say you should be able to turn it off once it's there – but that's after its already embedded itself in system and used up (currently) 7GB of storage.
If true and given a substantial number of users did not install it last time around and the underwhelming reviews of what it achieves by having it, its like Apple is willing people to be pissed off at them.
