PlayStation Network Down: Can’t Sign In or Play Online (You’re Not Alone)

Sony’s PlayStation Network (PSN) is experiencing a major outage, leaving many players unable to sign in, launch games, or access the PlayStation Store. The issues began on February 7 at 4:00 PM PT, and as of now, some services are still down.
What’s Affected?
- Account Management – Players may have trouble signing in, creating accounts, or editing details.
- Gaming & Social – Some users can’t launch games, use apps, or access online features.
- PlayStation Store – Purchasing, browsing, downloading, and redeeming vouchers are unavailable for some users.
- PlayStation Video – Streaming content may not be accessible.
- The outage affects all platforms, including PS5, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and the web.
Sony has acknowledged the issue and says they are working on a fix. There’s no estimated time for full restoration, and affected users are being asked to be patient. “We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN,” said Sony at 5:46pm PT. That was ages ago and services are still down. As expected, people are pretty pissed.

What Can You Do?
If you’re having trouble with PSN, you can check the official PlayStation Network status page for updates. Restarting your console or router won’t fix the issue—it’s a server-side problem.
As frustrated gamers wait for service to return, PlayStation has not provided a timeline for a fix. If you’re unable to log in, you’re not alone. Time to do something else on a Friday night…
