Dyson Supersonic r Hair Dryer Hits Canada in April

Dyson is making its latest hair dryer, the Supersonic r, available to the public after initially selling it only to professional stylists. The new Supersonic r will also debut in Canada in April.
The company announced the launch during Paris Fashion Week today, where its engineers and global styling ambassadors showcased the device.

The Supersonic r is smaller, lighter, and more maneuverable than Dyson’s previous models. It features a streamlined heater, a Hyperdymium motor, and RFID sensors that adjust airflow and temperature based on the attachment being used. The hair dryer, which has been tested and used by professional stylists, aims to provide salon-quality results at home.

The Dyson Supersonic r hair dryer is what the company is calling its most powerful, yet lightest and most precise hair dryer to date. The new hair dryer is 30% smaller, 20% lighter and easier to manoeuvre compared to the original Supersonic hair dryer. You’ll be able to dry your hair faster and get shinier results it says.
As for the design, it is unlike regular hair dryers and looks more like a small wand with a curve at the top. It’s always impressive how much tech Dyson can cram into small spaces. Here’s a cut out of the Supersonic r hair dryer:

The device will be available in two new colours: Ceramic Pink and Jasper Plum. It goes on sale in the U.S. and Mexico on March 6, with a wider rollout in the coming weeks, specifically debuting in Canada on April 3, for a price of $729.99. The original Supersonic starts from $579 in Canada.
In Europe, customers can try it at Dyson’s Beauty Lab in Paris before it officially launches in April.
