Hamilton Police are investigating a large-scale act of vandalism at a Tesla showroom, where nearly 80 vehicles were damaged in what appears to be a targeted attack.
Officers were called to the Tesla store at 999 Upper Wentworth Street on March 19, 2025, after reports of extensive damage to vehicles parked outside. Many had deep scratches and punctured tires. This massive 60,000-square-foot Tesla hub, launched in late 2024, doubles as the company’s biggest showroom and service centre in Canada.
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and urging the public to provide any information that could help identify those responsible. Anyone with knowledge of the incident is encouraged to contact Hamilton Police or submit anonymous tips via Crime Stoppers.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk condemned recent vandalism in the U.S. during a Fox News appearance, attributing the attacks to political tensions.
“It’s really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of, really, hatred and violence from the left,” Musk said. “Democrats were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring, and yet they’re burning down cars, they’re firebombing dealerships, they’re firing bullets into dealerships, they’re smashing up Teslas.”

The incidents come amid rising anti-Tesla sentiment in Canada, fuelled by Musk’s alliance with U.S. President Donald Trump and his involvement in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which advocates for deep U.S. spending cuts.
Musk has also stoked controversy with provocative posts on X, including remarks questioning Canada’s legitimacy. The backlash has intensified as a Canada-U.S. trade war escalates following Trump’s steel tariffs and Canada’s $20.5 billion countermeasures.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage and urge anyone with info to call Division 3 at 905-546-3886 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
According to Hamilton Police, Tesla told them they are going to be fencing the dealership likely by the weekend, reports The Spec.

The argument was: it’s not correct to claim that when it’s coming from the Right, it’s patriotism but everything in Canada that is disruption, protest, vandalism and violence must be coming from the progressive Left.
Let’s start with easy one. Due to the border blockades almost $4 billion in trade activity was halted. They were not from progressive Left, so not all and any serious disruption is coming from them.
Coutts arms cache seizure. Police seized cache of firearms and ammunition, including long guns and handguns, many pieces of body armour, large amount of ammunition and high-capacity gun magazines. Those people were one wrong move away from becoming terror8sts and they were criminal at best. Certainly not patriots. Also, not progressive Left.
Mosque shooting. In 2017, Alexandre Bissonnette killed six people and seriously injured five at the mosque in the Quebec City neighbourhood. Clearly, serious violence was not perpetrated by the progressive Left.
Running over the Muslim family. In London, Ontario in 2021, Nathaniel Veltman, a white nationalist, not a progressive Leftist, intentionally ran down the family of five and killed four of them with his truck while they were out for a walk.
People who promote all that 51st state nonsense and support annexation of Canada definitely don’t belong to progressive Left and obviously are not patriots. They are closer to what it would be the definition of a traitor. Among them, very vocal, Tamara Lich, a principal Convoy organizer and a secretary of the western separatist Maverick Party. Another Convoy organizer was a 2015 federal Conservative Party candidate. Both of them not truckers. Also, not Sikh or Hindu. So, not so much Leftist, rather swinging the other way.

Never mentioned patriotism in connection to these examples nor did I even insinuated their connection to the Right.
