Apple Debuts USB-C to 3.5mm Cable for AirPods Max, Beats Studio Pro

Apple has released a new USB-C to 3.5mm audio cable aimed at users of AirPods Max and Beats Studio Pro, letting them connect their high-end headphones to traditional headphone jacks—and it comes with a $55 CAD price tag.
Earlier today, Apple announced AirPods Max (only the latest USB-C version) will get support for lossless audio and ultra-low latency audio.
The 1.2-metre white woven cable is now available for order on Apple’s website and supports both audio-in and audio-out. It can be used to plug your headphones into 3.5mm audio sources like airplane entertainment systems, or to connect your iPhone or iPad (with USB-C) to a speaker with a headphone jack.
Apple says using the cable with AirPods Max enables ultra-low latency audio, ideal for gaming or music production. It delivers performance similar to the built-in speakers on iPhones and iPads, according to the company.
The cable also works in reverse—meaning you can plug a USB-C iPhone or iPad into a car stereo or any device with a 3.5mm AUX input.
