The integration encompasses a range of industry-standard tools, including Algoriddim’s djay Pro software and hardware platforms such as AlphaTheta, Serato, inMusic’s Engine DJ, Denon DJ, Numark, and RANE DJ.

By connecting Apple Music’s extensive library with these tools, DJs can now access, play, and discover music in real-time, enhancing their creative workflows.

To further support the DJ community, Apple Music is launching a dedicated “DJ with Apple Music” category page. This section features DJ-friendly editorial playlists, curator pages highlighting software and hardware partners, and a collection of mixes designed to inspire and facilitate practice sessions.

Stephen Campbell, Global Head of Dance, Electronic & DJ Mixes at Apple Music, emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting DJs:

“Apple Music is committed to supporting DJs. With this latest integration, we’re taking that commitment even further—seamlessly connecting Apple Music with the industry’s leading DJ software and hardware. This innovation brings the full power of Apple Music into the creative workflow, making it easier than ever for DJs to access, play, and discover music in real time.”

The move aligns with broader industry trends where music streaming platforms are enhancing their offerings for music creation and remixing. In 2024, SoundCloud integrated with six tools for editing, remixing, and custom sample creation. Additionally, reports indicate that Spotify is exploring tools and subscriptions that would allow users to remix songs.

Since introducing streaming for DJ mixes in 2021, Apple Music has significantly expanded its collection, adding thousands of sets to the platform. The latest integration marks a significant milestone in the fusion of music streaming and DJ culture.
