Garmin Connect+ Paid Plans Debut: Here’s Canadian Pricing

Garmin has launched a new paid subscription plan called Garmin Connect+, giving users access to expanded health and fitness tools through its mobile app.
The company says the new subscription brings more personalized insights, real-time workout features, and extra coaching support—while keeping the core Garmin Connect experience free for all users.
Connect+ introduces a feature called Active Intelligence, which uses AI to provide daily suggestions and insights based on your activity and health data. Garmin says the more you use the app, the more customized the insights will become. This feature is still in beta.
Users who subscribe will also get a performance dashboard that allows them to compare training data over time using charts and graphs. Another feature, called live activity, lets users start a workout on their Garmin watch and view real-time heart rate, pace, reps, and even guided workout videos on their phone.
Those following Garmin’s training plans for running or cycling will get additional tips and video content from expert coaches. LiveTrack, the feature that allows friends and family to follow your activities in real time, has also been upgraded. Users can now send alerts when an activity begins and create a personalized LiveTrack page to share with others.
On the social side, Garmin Connect+ adds profile frames and monthly badge challenges. These include fitness goals like climbing 500 metres in a month of running, or cycling for four hours in a specific power zone.
Garmin Connect+ is available now with a free trial for 30 days. After that, the subscription costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year in Canada. The standard Garmin Connect app and all its existing features remain free to use.
