Vanessa Trigub Named Apple’s Global Retail Chief
Apple has appointed Vanessa Trigub as the Vice President of Stores and Retail Operations globally, marking a significant shift in its retail management structure, as reported by Bloomberg.

Trigub, who previously oversaw Apple’s retail locations in the Americas West region and managed retail operations, will now supervise regional retail leaders across Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas East region.
The move aims to streamline Apple’s retail operations under Deirdre O’Brien, the Senior Vice President of Retail + People. By introducing this new role, Apple seeks to enhance operational efficiency and reduce the number of direct reports to O’Brien, who has been managing both retail and human resources functions.
Vanessa Trigub’s journey with Apple began in 2007, shortly after the launch of the first iPhone. Over the years, she has held various roles in finance, mergers, and acquisitions, demonstrating a deep understanding of the company’s operations and culture.
Apple’s retail leadership has seen several transitions over the years. Ron Johnson served as the Senior Vice President of Retail Operations from 2001 until November 2011, playing a pivotal role in establishing the Apple Store concept. He was succeeded by John Browett in January 2012, whose tenure was brief due to strategic misalignments.
In October 2013, Angela Ahrendts, former CEO of Burberry, took over the retail division, bringing a fresh perspective from the fashion industry. Upon Ahrendts’ departure in April 2019, Deirdre O’Brien expanded her role to include retail responsibilities.

By centralizing leadership and leveraging Trigub’s extensive experience, Apple aims to enhance the customer experience across its global retail footprint.
