Apple has released visionOS 2.4 today, which finally brings AI-powered features to its pricey Vision Pro headset—but only for users with their device and Siri set to U.S. English.

With today’s release of visionOS 2.4 and more, Apple Intelligence will bring the Writing Tools feature that can rewrite, proofread, summarize, or help generate content using ChatGPT. Users can also create custom emojis with Genmoji, search their photos using natural language, and build short movies from photos and videos based on a text prompt. Image Playground will let users create images.

Apple is also launching a new app for the headset called Spatial Gallery, which offers curated immersive content in art, sports, culture, and more. At launch, the gallery includes content from Red Bull, Cirque du Soleil, Porsche, and behind-the-scenes looks at Apple TV+ shows like Severance and The Morning Show.

The Vision Pro also now has a companion app for iPhone with iOS 18.4 (we’re surprised this didn’t debut at launch like the Watch app). Users can browse and queue spatial content from their phones, get tips, and manage device settings.

Another update makes it easier to share the headset: a new Guest User mode lets someone use Vision Pro by connecting their own iPhone or iPad, with access limited to selected apps.

Apple says AI features are processed on-device when possible, and when they rely on cloud servers, the data isn’t stored or shared. The major Siri update as part of Apple Intelligence won’t be part of visionOS 2.4, as it has been delayed for all Apple devices until later this year.

Some functions, like integration with ChatGPT and immersive videos like VIP: Yankee Stadium and Bono: Stories of Surrender, will roll out in stages over the next two months.

Apple Intelligence features are still in beta and not yet available in all countries. The Spatial Gallery app is rolling out in several markets including Canada, the U.K., Japan, and Germany.

The Vision Pro headset is available in 15 regions including Canada, where it is priced from $4,995.
