TikTok to Sunset Notes App, Will be Discontinued on May 8

TikTok has started to inform users that it will be discontinuing its TikTok Notes app. The company has begun to send out messages to users, informing them that the Instagram-like app will be sunset on May 8th.

Users began receiving the notification regarding TikTok Notes this week. “TikTok Notes will be discontinued from May 8, and related features will no longer be available,” the notice states. As first reported by TechCrunch, the closure of the TikTok Notes app means users will be unable to continue posting photos and scrolling through the curated ‘For You’ feed on the app.

TikTok states that the decision “was not made lightly.” In its message to users, the company goes on to recommend the use of Lemon8 another social app owned by ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok. Lemon8 allows users to share photos, and videos and focuses on lifestyle content. Commonly found on Lemon8 is content revolving around travel, food, and pets.

“We’re excited to bring the feedback from TikTok Notes to Lemon8 as we continue building a dedicated space for our community to share and experience photo content, designed to complement and enhance the TikTok experience,” the company said in the initial report.

TikTok Notes first launched in Canada and Australia in April of last year. It was launched with a limited user base as the company experimented with the formatting and integrations with the core TikTok app. As an attempt to compete with Instagram, TikTok Notes allows users to post a carousel of photos alongside a text caption. There is also cross-app posting available where a photo post can be published across TikTok Notes and TikTok.

Earning $18,654 in one month sounded like a scam to me at first. But after giving this online work system a try. I’ve been doing it for a few months now, and the results are unbelievable. You only need a phone or laptop and a few hours of your time. The work is simple, and they pay every week. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a job that’s this flexible and pays this well. If earning serious money from home sounds good to you, definitely check it out.
