Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE series has officially launched in Canada and other global regions. The company’s new entry-level tablet offers Intelligent Features and a premium design, all for a starting price of $699.
The new series of FE tablets includes the base Galaxy Tab S10 FE and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, which Samsung launched simultaneously. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE features the largest LCD display on a base Galaxy Tab FE yet, measuring in at 10.9 inches. Galaxy Tab S10 FE+, on the other hand, offers a 13.1-inch LCD display as well as slim bezels. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ is almost 12 percent larger than its predecessor.
Both devices in the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series feature smooth visuals unlocked by the support of 90Hz refresh rate. The displays also offer up to 800 nits HBM. There’s also a Vision Booster setting that automatically adjusts brightness and visibility, perfect when using the Galaxy Tab S10 FE outdoors.
The base Galaxy Tab S10 FE is 254.3 x 165.8 x 6.0 mm while the larger Galaxy Tab S10 FE is 300.6 x 194.7 x 6.0 mm. Both devices sport a 13-megapixel rear camera while a 12-megapixel ultra-wide front-facing camera is also featured. Storage options for the two devices start at 12GB memory and 256GB internal storage, a notable bump from the base 6GB RAM and 128GB from the 2023 model.
There’s been no changes made to the battery for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. The base model continues to sport an 8,000mAh battery while the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ offers a 10,090mAh battery, both with 45W charging.
“The new Galaxy Tab S10 FE series brings advanced mobile AI experience and Samsung’s connected ecosystem to even more tablet users, while still offering leading performance and design,” Changtae Kim, EVP & Head of New Computing R&D Team, Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, said in a statement. “We’re confident that the slim bezels and expansive displays, in addition to a whole host of functional improvements, will inspire people to do more, create more, and discover more.”
Both the Galaxy Tab S10 FE devices boast a few AI features worth highlighting. Of course, it wouldn’t be an Android device without the support of Google’s Circle to Search, allowing you to highlight an image on your screen and conduct a quick Google search on it. Samsung Notes features a Solve Math option for quick equations. Object Eraser offers the ability to remove unwanted objects from a photo. Auto Trim allows users to compile highlight reels of multiple videos easily.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE series is available through Samsung and other major retailers.
