Apple is inviting all Apple Watch users to take part in what it is calling ‘Global Close Your Rings Day’ on April 24, encouraging users to complete their daily Move, Exercise, and Stand goals for a chance to earn a limited-edition award and exclusive digital stickers.

Anyone who closes all three Move, Exercise and Stand rings on April 24 will unlock an animated badge in the Fitness app and 10 unique stickers for use in Messages.

Apple also shared new findings from the Apple Heart and Movement Study, which looked at over 140,000 participants. The data showed that people who closed their rings regularly were:

  • 48% less likely to experience poor sleep
  • 73% less likely to have an elevated resting heart rate
  • 57% less likely to report high stress

“Apple Watch has changed the way people think about, monitor, and engage with their fitness and health. A decade ago, we introduced Activity rings — and since then, Apple Watch has grown to offer an extensive set of features designed to empower every user,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer, in a statement. “People write to us almost every day sharing how Apple Watch has made a difference in their life, from motivating them to move more throughout the day, to changing the trajectory of their health.”

Apple is also offering a collectible pin inspired by the award on April 24, available at Apple Store locations worldwide starting that day—while supplies last. Sounds like a great way to get people moving later this month.
