Google’s Pixel 8a is now selling for just $479.95 (128GB) on Amazon Canada, marking its lowest price ever on the site.
This deal makes the mid-range smartphone an even more attractive option for those looking to save without sacrificing too much performance or quality.
Now, this price cut comes after the recent launch of the Pixel 9a, which starts again at $679 in Canada.
The Google Pixel 9a improves on its predecessor with a larger 6.3-inch OLED display (2,700 nits) versus the Pixel 8a’s 6.1-inch (2,000 nits), a flatter design, and the Tensor G4 chip for better efficiency.
Also, the Pixel 9a has a 5,100mAh battery and 23W charging compared to the Pixel 8a’s 4,492mAh and 18W, while both offer 8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, and 7.5W wireless charging. The Pixel 9a’s 48MP main camera outperforms the Pixel 8a’s 64MP, adding AI features, and it’s more durable with IP68 versus IP67.
For most people, the Pixel 8a at $479 in Canada offers excellent value—especially now that it delivers nearly the same performance as the newer model for $200 less.
