Microsoft’s New Copilot for Gaming Brings AI Features to Xbox
Microsoft is expanding its AI capabilities into the gaming world with the introduction of “Copilot for Gaming,” an AI assistant currently being tested within the Xbox mobile app, The Verge reports.

This new feature aims to enhance the gaming experience by providing personalized support and recommendations. The early version of Copilot for Gaming offers several functionalities designed to assist players:
- Personalized Game Recommendations: Based on a user’s gaming history, Copilot suggests new titles that align with their interests.
- Achievement Tracking: Players can easily access their recent Xbox achievements, helping them monitor progress and set new goals.
- Gameplay Tips: Copilot provides advice and strategies for completing games, catering to both newcomers and seasoned players.
- Remote Game Management: Users can download and install games on their Xbox consoles remotely through the mobile app.
Interaction with Copilot is flexible, supporting both text and voice commands. Users can choose from various voice personalities, including energetic, wise, chill, or heroic, to customize their experience.
Microsoft has plans to expand Copilot’s capabilities further. One anticipated feature is “Copilot Vision,” which would allow the AI to analyze real-time gameplay and provide contextual assistance. This could be particularly beneficial for complex games like Overwatch 2 or Minecraft.

Currently, Copilot for Gaming is in the testing phase with Microsoft employees. The company intends to roll out the feature to Xbox Insiders soon, gathering feedback to refine its functionalities.
