Xbox App Now Available on Select LG Smart TVs, Offering Game Pass Support

Xbox and LG are collaborating to bring the Xbox app to select models from the display manufacturer. With access to the Xbox app, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to take advantage of perks like streaming the catalogue of games without the use of a console.
As announced via an Xbox Wire post, the Xbox app is being made available to LG smart TVs running the latest webOS 24 software. This includes 2022 OLED TVs, select 2025 LG smart TVs, new models, as well as smart monitors running webOS 24 or later versions of the software. The company also confirmed that support will soon be arriving on the StanbyMe display.
If you’re using a compatible LG display, you’ll be able to find the Xbox app through the new LG Gaming Portal, accessible from the Gaming Q-Card on the TV home page. Once the Xbox app is installed,d you’ll have to sign in or create your Microsoft account and have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription. You’ll then be able to access and stream the full catalogue of games such as Avowed, South of Midnight, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and more. You’ll also be able to stream select games that you own, like Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, NBA 2K25 and Hogwarts Legacy.
When using the Xbox app on LG displays, you’ll be able to pair a Bluetooth controller like the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, or PlayStation’s DualSense.
