Fortnite Star Wars Event: How to Unlock the First Order Stormtrooper

Fortnite and Disney are teaming up for their biggest Star Wars collaboration yet—starting with a free First Order Stormtrooper Outfit.

Beginning today, Fortnite players can unlock the First Order Stormtrooper skin by linking their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts. Once you connect your accounts, you’ll immediately get the Outfit, which comes with a regular Fortnite Style and a LEGO Style.

Players must connect their accounts through epicgames.com/id/login by August 31 at 12 AM ET to claim it for free. After that, the Outfit might appear in the Fortnite Item Shop later on.

To link your accounts, sign into your Epic account, head to your Apps and Accounts settings, and select Connect under the MyDisney option. Follow the prompts to finish the process through the MyDisney website.

Also, starting May 2, Fortnite will launch its first-ever fully Star Wars-themed Battle Royale Season, called Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE. Each week, new Star Wars content and gameplay will roll out, including characters like Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine, and the ability to pilot X-wings and TIE Fighters. The season will lead up to an epic live event called Death Star Sabotage.

Fortnite is also hosting a Star Wars Watch Party island on May 2 at 7AM PT/10 AM ET, where players can watch the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld — days before it hits Disney+ on May the 4th (how fitting of course). This marks the first time a Disney+ series will debut inside a video game. After watching, players will unlock a special Asajj Ventress Loading Screen within 72 hours.

Beyond just the theatre, players can also fight waves of Stormtroopers with blasters and lightsabers inside the Watch Party island, which was built using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) with official Star Wars assets to create an authentic Star Wars environment.

“For the first time, Disney+ is premiering a show inside a game, launching alongside our largest Star Wars collaboration with Fortnite to date – giving fans and players an exciting first look at the kinds of experiences they can expect as we shape a new future together,” said Sean Shoptaw, Executive Vice President, Disney Games & Digital Entertainment, in a statement on Tuesday.

Adam Sussman, President of Epic Games, added, “We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises — stay tuned for a lot more to come.”
