iPhone 17e Release Slated for Early 2026 Says Kuo
Apple is set to continue its annual release of the affordable ‘e’ series with the iPhone 17e, slated for launch in the first half of 2026, according to Ming-Chi Kuo (via MacRumors).

Kuo has outlined Apple’s roadmap, indicating a split launch strategy for upcoming iPhone models. According to the analyst, the iPhone 17e will follow the main iPhone 17 series, which includes the Pro Max, Pro, Slim, and standard models, expected in the second half of 2025.
The iPhone 17e is anticipated to build upon the success of its predecessor, the iPhone 16e, which debuted in February 2025 at a starting price of $599. The 16e featured a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, A18 chip, and USB-C port, offering a modern yet affordable option for consumers.
Industry insiders suggest that the iPhone 17e is already in the trial production phase, with Apple restructuring assembly lines previously used for the iPhone 16e. This early preparation indicates Apple’s dedication to maintaining a consistent release schedule for its ‘e’ series.
The ‘e’ series strategy mirrors that of competitors like Google’s Pixel ‘a’ lineup, offering consumers a more affordable entry point into the latest smartphone technology. By releasing the ‘e’ models annually, Apple aims to keep its product lineup fresh and competitive, particularly in emerging markets where cost is a significant factor.

While specific details about the iPhone 17e’s features remain under wraps, it’s expected to retain key elements that made the 16e popular, such as the OLED display and Face ID, while potentially introducing incremental upgrades to enhance user experience.

The EU should mandate that Apple manufacture at least ONE IPhone (& IPad) with a 3.5 mm wired, earphone jack! As there are studies (suppressed by Apple!), that show an increase in brain tumours with increase usage of BT headphones! Also, the IPhone 17e should be made available with, “Mag Safe” charging.
Then it is blatant bullying – to be fair the EU would have to mandate Google, Samsung, Motorola, etc. also
