WHOOP’s Latest Wearables Introduce Advanced Health Tracking Features

WHOOP has officially launched two new wearablesWHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG—marking a major step forward in personal health and performance tracking.

The Boston-based company, known for its focus on data-driven fitness insights, is now expanding into broader health metrics, including cardiovascular monitoring, blood pressure estimates, and biological aging.

Both WHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG feature a sleeker form factor, shrinking in size by 7% compared to WHOOP 4.0. Despite the smaller build, battery performance has been significantly improved. WHOOP says the new devices offer 14 days of use on a single charge. A new wireless charging pack can also extend battery life by an additional 30 days.

The headline feature of the WHOOP MG is a built-in ECG that has received FDA clearance. Users can take on-demand electrocardiograms and receive alerts for potential signs of atrial fibrillation or irregular heart rhythms. This makes WHOOP one of the few consumer-grade wearables to offer clinical-grade heart monitoring.

Another standout feature is Healthspan with WHOOP Age, a new metric that provides insight into how well your body is aging. By analyzing nine key physiological indicators, the device estimates your “biological age,” giving users a better sense of long-term health rather than just short-term performance.

WHOOP is also debuting Blood Pressure Insights, a patent-pending feature that provides daily estimates of systolic and diastolic pressure. While it doesn’t replace a traditional cuff, it adds useful context for how blood pressure interacts with stress, recovery, and sleep.

Women’s health is also getting more attention. A new Hormonal Insights tool helps track how different life stages—including menstruation, pregnancy, and perimenopause—affect recovery and performance.

WHOOP 5.0 and MG are available to purchase now on WHOOP.com.
