Google Quietly Redesigns Its ‘G’ Icon: Here’s the Change

Google has quietly updated its ‘G’ icon for the first time in 10 years, which comes with a subtle change.
According to 9to5Google, the Google app icon on iOS was first to get it, followed by the Android app. The new ‘G’ now blends the four colour sections as they transtition into each other. It’s a slight change but it looks more modern intdeed.
Check out the new ‘G’ icon below:

Here is what the old icon looks like beside the new one:

In dark mode, the new ‘G’ logo looks even better. Looking at the new ‘G’, the old one definitely is starting to look dated.
The original Google logo hasn’t changed, but we may see something different in the future? We may see other Google apps with the ‘G’ logo updated with this colour gradient transition—stay tuned. What do you think of the new ‘G’?

Quietly because nobody cares. AI is now the becoming the main search engine people are using now. But the way OpenAI is doing things, I won't be surprised if they alienate their customer base and forces them to switch to another AI model.
Back around 2000, Google was the best simply because it performed so well on pre-broadband connections, ie 33.6k and 56k Modem, compared to other search engines like Yahoo! and AltaVista and Excite, which were all bloated in those days.
Took a few to notice the very minimal difference. Who cares. I am more concerned about the one ui 7 mess up. It's the first ui I have ever disliked.
OMG they changed their logo. lmao what a slow news day it must be. Who Fn cares to be honest.
