Google’s NotebookLM App Now Available on iOS, Android
Jest ahead of its I/O 2025 event, Google has announced the release of its NotebookLM app for Android and iOS, transforming its AI-powered research assistant into a standalone mobile application (via 9to5Google).

NotebookLM is designed to assist users in synthesizing information from various sources. With the integration of Google’s latest AI model, Gemini 2.5 Flash, the app offers enhanced reasoning capabilities, providing more comprehensive and nuanced answers to complex, multi-step questions.
Key features of the NotebookLM app include:
- Dynamic Source Management: Users can upload PDFs, URLs, or text snippets directly through the app’s integration with the device’s share menu, streamlining the process of collecting research materials.
- AI Audio Summaries: The app can convert notes or sources into engaging audio summaries, supporting over 50 languages and offering offline playback, making it ideal for multitasking or learning on the go.
- Interactive Q&A: Users can ask questions about their sources, and the AI delivers answers with citations, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Cross-Platform Sync: NotebookLM ensures seamless synchronization between the web version and the mobile app, allowing users to switch between devices without losing progress.
- Tablet-Friendly Design: On tablets, the app offers a dual-pane layout, enabling users to view sources and interact with the AI simultaneously, enhancing efficiency.
Google has also introduced NotebookLM Plus, a premium tier available through Google One AI Premium or Google Workspace plans. This upgrade offers higher allowances for queries, sources, and audio summaries per notebook.

The NotebookLM app is now available for download on the Google Play Store for Android devices. iOS users can pre-register on the App Store, with the app set to be automatically downloaded upon release.
