Gemini AI Now Available in Chrome [VIDEO]
Announced during the Google I/O 2025 event, Google has officially launched its Gemini AI assistant within the Chrome browser, aiming to transform how users interact with web content.

This integration allows users to access Gemini directly in Chrome, providing real-time assistance without the need to switch tabs or applications. It introduces a floating chatbot accessible via a sparkle icon in the Chrome toolbar.
Users can engage with Gemini through typing or voice commands to:
- Summarize complex webpage content
- Clarify detailed information
- Assist with tasks using the context of the current webpage
Starting May 21, 2025, Gemini in Chrome is rolling out to desktop users in the United States. The feature is available to subscribers of Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra who use English as their Chrome language on Windows and macOS platforms. Initially, access is limited to users aged 18 and above who are on Chrome’s beta, canary, or dev channels.
Google emphasizes user privacy and control in the deployment of Gemini. Users have the ability to manage their data and the extent of Gemini’s access to their browsing activities.
Check out the following video demo of how Gemini provides real-time assistance and streamlines tasks within the browser in Chrome.
