Netflix Announces Clash of Clans Animated Series
Netflix is developing an animated series based on Supercell’s Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, featuring a comedic tale of a barbarian leading misfits to defend their village.

The series, currently in pre-production, will be helmed by Fletcher Moules, known for directing Clash of Clans’ animated shorts.
Joining the team is Ron Weiner, a veteran TV writer known for his work on iconic comedy series such as Futurama and 30 Rock. Animation will be handled by ICON Creative Studio, the Canadian animation house best known for Young Jedi Adventures and several high-quality family series.
The plot of Clash centers around a brave yet overwhelmed barbarian who attempts to unite an unlikely team of misfits to protect their village from chaotic, war-driven threats. Along the way, the group must also contend with the absurd bureaucracy and unpredictable politics of warfare in the Clash universe — a signature element that will surely delight longtime players.
Supercell’s head of film and television, Curtis Lelash, expressed excitement about finally delivering a long-awaited screen adaptation of the beloved franchise. “We’re thrilled to bring Clash to life in a whole new way,” he said. “Expect big battles, bigger laughs, and the heart of the game that fans around the world love.”
Since its launch in 2012, Clash of Clans has become one of the most successful mobile games of all time, with over 4 billion downloads globally and more than 180 billion hours of play logged across its franchise. With Clash Royale building on that legacy, the world of Clash offers a rich, character-driven foundation perfect for serialized storytelling.

The animated series is part of Netflix’s larger push into game-based entertainment, following other successful adaptations like Arcane (from League of Legends), Castlevania, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
