Tesla has added support for Apple’s Live Activities feature, giving iPhone users real-time updates on Supercharging directly from their Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (via Tesla North).

Available with iOS 17.2 and later, the Tesla app now displays charging details such as battery percentage, time remaining, and charging speed as soon as a session begins. The feature works on iPhone 14 Pro and newer models and updates automatically, making it easier for Tesla owners to monitor their vehicle’s charging status without unlocking their phone.

Live Activities was first introduced by Apple in iOS 16.1 back in October 2022. It lets apps show ongoing updates like sports scores or delivery progress. Since then, Apple has expanded support to the iPad with iPadOS 17 and Apple Watch with watchOS 11.

Tesla rolled out the Live Activities update on May 27. The update read, “Live Activity support for Supercharging on iOS 17.2+. Status updates will start automatically as soon as your charging session begins.”

The Tesla app supports iPhone and Apple Watch and also various controls through the Apple Shortcuts app, allowing you to use Siri to control certain controls. Click here to download the Tesla app in the App Store.
