We are one week away from Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), and now the company is hyping up the event.

On Monday, Greg Joswiak, SVP Marketing, said on X, “#WWDC25 is next week! Can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. See you June 9 at 10am PT.” He then shared a GIF showing the Swift UI logo and the Apple logo and a rainbow in a new design aesthetic.

The WWDC will see an in-person component at Apple Park, featuring a keynote on June 9 at to unveil what is said to be called iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26. Apple is reportedly changing its naming scheme for its operating systems to reflect years instead of versions.

All Apple software is rumoured to undergo a major design overhaul inspired by visionOS, emphasizing a unified, translucent interface, along with new Apple Intelligence features. But don’t hold your breath on AI breakthroughs, as that is said to be coming in 2026.

Developers can access over 100 video sessions, labs, and forums for free via the Apple Developer app, website, and YouTube, with a focus on integrating new software features into apps.

The Platforms State of the Union will be taking place on June 9 at 1pm PT, where developers will “discover the newest advancements for your apps and games.”

The Talk Show Won’t Feature Apple Executives for the First Time in 10 Years

On a side note, Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, who usually holds his podcast The Talk Show live from WWDC, has announced Apple executives won’t be appearing on this show this year.

“Ever since I started doing these live shows from WWDC, I’ve kept the guest(s) secret, until showtime. I’m still doing that this year. But in recent years the guests have seemed a bit predictable: senior executives from Apple. This year I again extended my usual invitation to Apple, but, for the first time since 2015, they declined.”

You may recall Gruber slammed Apple’s earlier this year, one hits delayed Siri Apple Intelligence rollout, so it’s no surprise the company won’t be making its executives available, as they would likely be facing hard questions about smart assistant’s lack of smarts.

We’ll have full coverage of WWDC next week, so stay tuned. Let’s wait and see what Apple has in store for everyone this year.
