Apple’s New iPad (A16) Just Got Its First Price Drop in Canada

Apple’s newest entry level iPad with A16 Bionic chip has just went on sale for the first time on Amazon.ca.

The 11-inch iPad (11th gen) was launched back in March and succeeds the iPad 10. The upgrades for this iPad 11 include doubled base entry storage of 128GB, while RAM increases to 6GB. But sadly this iPad does not support Apple Intelligence (M1 series or newer or A17 Pro or newer is required).

The iPad with A16 also has newer Bluetooth 5.3 (versus 5.2) and Smart HDR 4 for photos. The 11-inch (well, 10.9 rounded up) Liquid Retina display and design remains the same (because Apple).

Starting at $499.99, it’s on sale for $50 off at $449.99 on Amazon.ca. The sale applies to the Wi-Fi model and applies to all storage levels of 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.

Click here to jump on the iPad with A16 while it’s still on sale—just in time for Father’s Day coming up.

"M1 or newer" is misleading, as the M1 chip was introduced in 2020, while the A16 was not available before 2022. Highly disappointed in both Apple Intelligence, and the design choice around releasing a device that doesn't support it.
