Waze Gets “How to Train Your Dragon” Navigation Voice

Google’s Waze app is soaring to new heights by letting drivers channel their inner dragon with its new “How to Train Your Dragon” voice pack.

Arriving today, the animated voice offers an imaginative twist to navigation—transforming mundane drives into epic adventures.

Waze is known for injecting creativity into navigation. Previously, users could drive guided by celebrity voices like Minions, Chaka Khan, Lilly Singh, and more. Now, in partnership with the latest How to Train Your Dragon release, the app equips fans to feel the thrill of racing across the skies of Berk—straight from their dashboard.

As with prior special voices, this option will be accessible for only a few weeks and may depend on regional launches. To enable, head to Settings > Voice & Sound, then select the How to Train Your Dragon voice under Waze Voices.

The new Waze voice pack Works across Android, iOS, Android Auto, and CarPlay. On mobile, special voices are installed directly; they sync to in-car systems once connected.

Whether you’re headed to work or simply cruising around town, this voice-over transforms everyday travel into a whimsical flight aboard Toothless. It’s an inventive way for Waze to celebrate big-screen moments—while keeping drivers entertained and engaged.
