Apple Sports App Adds Tennis Scores, Ahead of Wimbledon

Just in time for the iconic grand slam Wimbledon, at the All England Club, Apple has added tennis to its Apple Sports app, giving iPhone users access to live scores and match updates from major tournaments.
The app now supports scores from Grand Slam and ATP/WTA 1000-level events, covering every point in men’s and women’s singles matches. Fans can track player progress throughout the tournament, starting with Wimbledon, and get match results from opening round to finals.

Alongside the tennis update, Apple also rolled out a new home screen layout for the app. Users can now organize leagues in their preferred order and keep favourite teams at the top for quick access to scores. Live match updates can appear directly on the iPhone Lock Screen and Apple Watch through Live Activities.
Our sports app of choice right now is still theScore, despite Apple slowly updating its free Apple Sports app.
As for the official Wimbledon mobile app and Wimbledon.com, earlier this month, IBM announced the debut of Match Chat, which lets users chat with an AI chatbot during live matches to ask questions and get answers regarding stats in real-time. Wimbledon officially kicks off on June 30 to July 13, 2025.
