Leading into the Canada Day long weekend, Telus-owned Public Mobile is offering up a $35/75GB Canada-US-Mexico plan to existing customers via text message.
The 5G plan includes 1,000 international long distance minutes and allows you to use your talk, text and data in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
Customers receiving the text message need to reply “YES” to accept the plan upgrade. The promo offer ends on July 1, 2025.
According to some iPhone in Canada readers that received the text offer, they are currently on the $34/50GB Canada-US plan. The decision here is whether to spend an extra buck to get access to 25GB more data and Mexico roaming, plus 1,000 international minutes.
If you’re not travelling to Mexico or calling overseas, it’s probably not worth it. But it’s just $1 more, and I can imagine a lot of customers will be willing to accept this offer. This looks to be Public Mobile’s plan to get an extra $1 out of customers—and it just might work.

So as you can see, the $35/75GB plan looks even more tantalizing.
