Apple Garners 81 Emmy Award Nominations Across Apple TV+ Shows and Films

Apple has announced that it has recieved a staggering 81 Emmy Award nominations for Apple TV+ shows and films. Unsurprisingly, this includes shows like Severance.
In a press release, Apple confirms that its streaming service leads as the only network to receive multiple title nominations across ‘Outstanding Comedy Series’ and ‘Outstanding Drama Series’ categories. Severance, The Studio, Slow Horses, and Shrinking all landed program nominations. The Gorge also received Apple’s first-ever ‘Outstanding Television Movie’ nomination.
Severance leads the charge for Apple’s nominations with 27 overall nods. This includes ‘Outstanding Drama Series’, ‘Outstanding Lead Actor’ for Adam Scott, and ‘Outstanding Lead Actress’ for Britt Lower. Zach Cherry, Tramell Tillman, John Turturro, Patricia Arquette, Jane Alexander, Gwendoline Christie, and Merritt Wever have also been recognized for outstanding performances. The series also received the nod for Outstanding Directing for Ben Stiller and Jessica Lee Gagné.
Apple TV+ series The Studio is the “most-nominated freshman comedy series in history” with nominations for ‘Outstanding Comedy,’ ‘Outstanding Lead Actor’ Outstanding Directing,’ and ‘Outstanding Writing’ all for Seth Rogen. Ike Barinholtz receives the nomination for ‘Oustanding Support Actor’ while Kathryn Hahn and Catherine O’Hara are recognized for ‘Outstanding Support Actress’.
Slow Horses, Shrinking, Presumed Innocent, The Gorge, Bad Sisters, Dope Thief, Disclaimer, Pachinko, Your Friends & Neighbors, Dark Matter, Deaf President Now!, and Bono: Stories of Surrender all received notable Emmy Award nominations as well, bolstering Apple’s 81-nod run this year.
To date, Apple Original shows, films, and documentaries have earned 580 wins and 2,761 award nominations, including the winning ‘Best Picture’ at the Oscars for CODA
The winners will be announced at the Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony on September 14, 2025.
