Kindle Colorsoft Now Available in Canada, Starting at $264

Amazon’s Kindle Colorsoft is finally available in Canada, starting today. The readers, who have been missing a pop of colour from their ereader devices, can nab one of their own, with prices starting at $264.

Three different models are launching in Canada. Available today, readers from coast to coast can pick up their own Kindle Colorsoft, Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition or the first-ever Kindle Colorsoft for Kids. For the uninitiated, Kindle Colorsoft is a traditional reader. However, unlike the Paperwhite model, Colorsoft supports a coloured display, making it perfect for digital comics and the like.

The base model in the Kindle Colorsoft series has 16GB of storage and is available for $264.99. It features a 7-inch 150 PPI colour resolution display with a 300 PPI black-and-white resolution. With a high-contrast colour display, Colorsoft also provides tools to adjust the display settings with warm light. The device also supports an 8-week battery life.

Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition, on the other hand, comes with 32GB of storage and is available for $309.99. This model also sports a 7-inch colour display. The device also sports wireless charging and an auto-adjusting front light, perfect for reading in different conditions throughout the day. Customers will also receive three months of Kindle Unlimited when purchasing the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition.

Finally, Kindle Colorsoft for Kids is making its way to the market. The $294.99 device is made for younger users and comes with a kid-friendly cover to help avoid damage. With a purchase of the device, customers receive 12 months of Amazon Kids+, which offers smart features like Vocabulary Builder, Word Wise (to learn new words), and OpenDyslexic font. Parents can also maintain parental control via the Amazon Parent Dashboard.

We’ll have more on the Kindle Colorsoft shortly following its exciting release in Canada.

I asked ChatGPT to compare it with the Kobo Libra Colour and the Libra is a clear winner (I got one and it's wonderful)
