Crossy Road Castle Hosts Spongebob SquarePants Event Alongside Other Apple Arcade Updates

Apple Arcade is hosting another round of exciting updates and in-game events, starting with a sponge-tacular crossover between Crossy Road Castle and SpongeBob SquarePants.
Starting on August 4th, players will be able to race through 40 Bikini Bottom-themed levels as SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, or Sandy in Crossy Road Castle. Players can collect Krabby Patties while avoiding jellyfish. The Krabby Patty Kollectathon event runs until August 17th, giving players loads of time to complete each level.
On top of an exciting crossover in Cross Road Castle, Apple Arcade is hosting a series of updates to games on the service. Starting this week, players will find new content across a handful of games. For those interested, here are all the details.
- Sonic Racing — The latest updates add the Slipstream Mayhem community challenge. Players can now unlock a new character variant as the community goal is met in-game.
- WHAT THE CAR? — The ‘Car Dreams’ experience is available as part of an update. Every other week in the game, Car will take a nap, resulting in strange dreams. Players can then dive into Car’s dreams and experience new racetracks based around whatever’s been dreamt.
