Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 Smash Sales Records in US, Korea

According to Bloomberg, in-store shoppers have shown particular enthusiasm, especially for the sleek, lightweight designs and upgraded camera systems found in both models .

The company claims that many buyers are drawn in at first touch, saying “When people go hands‑on with a Z series device, they’re hooked,” giving this generation its unprecedented performance boost

Meanwhile in South Korea, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has taken the lead for the first time, accounting for roughly 60% of early orders compared with 40 percent for the Flip 7. That shift breaks Samsung’s historical pattern, where Flip models traditionally dominated foldable pre-orders.

Critics and reviewers agree that the new Fold device offers a compelling leap forward in design and performance. The Fold 7 is exceptionally thin at just 4.2 mm when unfolded and weighs about 215 g, making it the lightest and most refined book-style foldable Samsung has yet produced . It features an 8‑inch main display, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and a 200 MP camera setup that delivers vivid detail.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 also shines in its form factor, with a larger 4.1‑inch cover screen and 6.9‑inch inner display, slimmer chassis, and refined hinge mechanics. Powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chip and supported by Android 16 with One UI 8, it promises seven years of software updates through 2032.
