Carrier Document Suggest Apple’s iPhone 17 Event Slated for September 9

New carrier documents are pointing to the possibility of Apple hosting its iPhone 17 reveal on Tuesday, September 9th.
As first reported by German site iPhone-Ticker (via 9to5Mac), internal information from German mobile phone providers suggests the event could take place during the second week of September. This does align with Apple’s patterns in recent years, in which an early September event is held, revealing the new iPhone series.
In previous years, Apple has opted to host a keynote in the early weeks of September, announcing its annual refresh for iPhone, new iOS updates, and more. In 2021, Apple held its event on September 14th. The ‘Wonderlust’ event in 2023 was held within a similar window, on September 12th. Last year’s Apple event in September was held on September 9th as well.
With all of this in mind, there’s the chance that Apple may open up preorders on the following Friday. September 12th may see preorders go live in Canada and other global markets. Typically, once preorders are available, Apple begins to ship the new devices a week later. So, we could see iPhone 17 begin to ship on Friday, September 19th.
Although speculation is ramping up, we won’t know for certain until Apple announces its event officially. Given that we’re now in the month of August, it may only be a matter of time before the pre-iPhone 17 release marketing hype begins.
