Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical Now Available to Stream on Apple TV+

Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical is now available to stream on Apple TV+. As part of Charlie Brown‘s 75th anniversary, the new special is streaming as part of Apple’s subscription service.

Available starting today, Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical is the first Peanuts musical episode in 37 years. This serves as the latest special starring Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang.

The new special sees the Peanuts characters headed to summer camp. Charlie Brown, who loves attending, vows to make it a special year as this will be his last. However, Sally, who is attending for the first time, is much more nervous about attending.

Here’s the official description of the special:

“Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical is a musical special about the joy and magic of summer camp and the importance of preserving what you love. Charlie Brown loves camp and is determined to make his final year special, but Sally – a first-time camper – is nervous and skeptical of the new and unfamiliar place. While everyone settles into camp, Snoopy and Woodstock discover a treasure map that takes them on a wild adventure nearby.”

The latest special runs 40 minutes and is packed to the brim with original songs, including When We Were Light, Look Up, Charlie Brown, Leave It Better, and A Place Like This. If these songs become earworms for you, the playlist of all tracks is available on Apple Music.

In 2020, Apple inked a deal with WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson Film Productions to bring the  Peanuts catalogue to Apple TV+. The service includes original programs and specials like A Charlie Brown Christmas, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, landing on the streaming service. However, under the deal, Apple TV+ would also be home to newly developed specials like the aforementioned musical special.

Apple is also helping to develop a full-length Snoopy movie. The CG film is being directed by two-time Annie Award nominee Steve Martino. The movie will see Snoopy and Charlie Brown headed into the big city for their largest adventure yet.
