Statik’s MagSafe State Power Bank Uses EV Technology
Statik has just rolled out its new State Power Bank, a slim magnetic power bank that relies on semi-solid electrolyte battery technology borrowed from electric vehicles.

The power bank is compact yet power packed, offering 5,000 milliamp-hours of capacity. Its semi-solid battery uses about 95% less liquid than conventional lithium-ion batteries. That makes it non-flammable and much more resistant to damage from crushing or puncture.
Statik claims the State PowerBank lasts twice as long as traditional models with up to one thousand full charge cycles before capacity fades. That can translate into years of reliable use versus months.
Another advantage is that it runs noticeably cooler. Compared to typical lithium-ion power banks, design measurements show it stays 24% cooler while charging and 32% cooler while recharging. That ease of heat management is a welcome benefit for users who carry their devices close to their bodies or batteries inside bags.
For daily usability it packs both magnetic wireless charging and wired USB-C power delivery. It supports fast wireless charging up to 15W and delivers up to 18W via USB-C for both output to devices and input to recharge itself. MagSafe compatibility allows iPhones to snap to it securely, while Qi enabled Android phones and accessories can charge wirelessly too.

Statik plans to begin shipping the PowerBank from September 20th with an initial preorder price of $49.99 in the U.S.
