Adobe Firefly, Express Get Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image
Adobe is expanding its creative AI ecosystem by incorporating Google’s newly announced Gemini 2 .5 Flash Image model into its flagship tools Firefly and Adobe Express.

This new integration opens fresh possibilities for content creators who want to explore ideas faster and stay productive across connected tools.
Users working within Adobe Firefly will now be able to access Gemini 2 .5 Flash Image directly in the text to image workspace and in Firefly Boards. This allows creators to produce multiple visuals with consistent styles and the flexibility to refine them in Adobe Express where resizing and animating can be done without starting over.
For creative professionals working in marketing or small business teams, the update simplifies the process of adapting visual assets across formats. From crafting social posts and flyers to presentations and email headers, the ability to swap backgrounds or generate variations within minutes will enhance visual storytelling workflows.
Visual designers gain a streamlined way to experiment. They can generate concept sketches or character designs in Firefly and then move work into Photoshop or Illustrator for in depth polish without needing to start fresh.
Adobe has also emphasized that none of the content generated in its apps will be used to train AI models and Content Credentials automatically attach to AI created visuals to enhance traceability.

Within Firefly, users on the free plan can generate up to 20 Gemini based images at no cost, while paid Firefly and Creative Cloud Pro subscribers enjoy unlimited generation through early September. Adobe Express users will receive access beginning September 1.
Earlier this year, Adobe added Google’s Imagen 3 and Veo 2 along with OpenAI’s GPT image generation into Firefly while preserving its own model’s commercial safety. The company also introduced Firefly Boards a collaborative infinite canvas and elevated its Image Model 4 family with more realism and detail.
